Why should I get licensed?
This is the moment to establish your business and build the connections necessary to take your share of a competitive yet lucrative market. As the program expands, state and local authorities are enforcing stringent policies aimed at operations not in compliance with its regulations. Getting licensed presents the opportunity to assert yourself as a proper steward of the land and free yourself from future legal hassles. Additionally, having a property with a cultivation license often increases the value of your land should you choose to sell it in the future.
How do I get licensed?
There are four primary entities you must be in compliance with in order to acquire your local and state licenses:
Your local governing body
State permitting agencies: California Department of Cannabis Control (CDFA) or Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) or California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW)
State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB)
Flowra guides you through the entire licensing process, including serving as the point of contact with governing agencies and qualified professionals, preparing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, and monitoring your license status as it is processed. Focus on what you do best—cannabis—and let Flowra do the rest.
How do I determine if my site is viable?
We offer a Site Feasibility Report to assist you in your due diligence. This report identifies your site’s current and potential issues and the necessary remedial steps. The vast majority of sites are able to become viable through remediation through a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (LSAA) and/or revised planning of your site’s setup.
